PPR Piping for Underfloor Heating & Solar Water Systems

High-temperature circuits need more than plain PPR. Bekaatherm supplies fiberglass- and aluminum-composite PPR pipe engineered for low thermal expansion, plus matched manifolds, radiator valves and solar sets from one Turkish manufacturer. SKZ / ISO / CE / WRAS certified. Exporting to 118+ countries.

Why the job is harsh

Underfloor Heating & Solar Loops Are the Harshest Job Your Pipe Will Do

Cold-water plumbing is forgiving. Underfloor heating and solar hot-water circuits are not: water runs hot, temperatures cycle up and down every day, and plain PPR responds by expanding, sagging between clips, stressing fusion joints, and eventually leaking where the customer least wants it: under a finished floor or on a rooftop solar loop. A single failed joint under screed can mean lifting a whole room. On a rooftop solar collector, stagnation temperatures push the return line even harder. The three failures integrators fear most are all avoidable with the right specification, chosen before, not after, the pipe is buried.

  • Expansion cracking / sagging, plain PPR moves too much when hot; a composite core cuts thermal expansion so the run stays put between clips.
  • Mismatched, pieced-together parts, pipe, manifold and valves from different sources never quite fit, and no one supplier owns the failure.
  • Failing sign-off / customs, pressure class or certification not documented stalls acceptance and holds pipe at the border.

The fix is not a heavier pipe or more clips, it is the right composite structure, the right PN pressure class, and a matched system documented against SKZ / ISO / CE / WRAS. That is exactly what this page walks you through.

Fiberglass or Aluminum-Composite, Engineered for Heat, Not Guessed

Both of our composite PPR pipes are built to cut the thermal expansion that ruins hot circuits, the difference is how. Fiberglass-composite (PPR-FG) knits a reinforcing middle layer into the wall for lower expansion and higher strength while staying all-plastic and light to weld. Aluminum-composite (PPR-AL-PPR) sandwiches an aluminum layer that further limits expansion and adds an oxygen barrier, useful on closed heating loops. We manufacture both in PN20 and PN25, sizes 20–63mm, in our green / white / coffee series, from 100% high-standard raw material.

Composite Pipe Dimensions, Every Size, Both Structures, Both PN

This is the hard data behind the choice. Below is the full outside-diameter × wall-thickness table for our fiberglass-composite and aluminum-composite pipe across the 20–63mm range in both PN20 and PN25. Wall thickness climbs with the pressure class, which is why PN25 is the safer pick for hotter solar and closed-loop circuits. All values are taken from the Bekaatherm product catalogue; per-size temperature/pressure limits are confirmed on the datasheet for your operating conditions.

Pipe, Fittings, Valves & Sets, All in One Family

A quick look at the components that build a heating circuit, composite pipe, brass-core valves, manifold-ready fittings and matched sets, cut on our own tooling in the same resin family and colour.

One matched system

Pipe, Manifold, Valves and Solar Sets, From One System

The second failure on heating projects isn’t the pipe, it’s the parts around it. When the manifold comes from one source, the valves from another, and the pipe from a third, you get mismatched threads, brass quality you can’t vouch for, and no single supplier to hold accountable. Bekaatherm builds the whole circuit as one matched PPR system, same material family, brass inserts where they carry load, cut on our own tooling (10,000 molds).

Where it runs

Built for Every Hot Circuit, Floor, Wall, Roof and Radiator

The same composite backbone and matched parts cover the full spread of heating and hot-water work. Whichever circuit you’re building, the pipe, PN class and connections come from one family, so specification stays consistent from the manifold cabinet to the rooftop collector.

PPR heating pipe connected to a radiator

Underfloor heating loops

Low-expansion composite pipe stays put under screed, feeding a 2–5 way manifold sized to the room count. Fiberglass or aluminum-composite, PN20/PN25.

Solar hot-water circuits

Rooftop collector loops see high return temperatures. Aluminum-composite with its oxygen barrier and PN25 margin, plus a matched solar-and-radiator set.

Radiator & wall heating

Straight and elbow radiator valves (20/25mm) and threaded fittings connect the loop cleanly, brass inserts where the load and heat sit.

Rated & certified

PN-Rated, and Certified Where It Matters

On a heating or solar project, “trust me” doesn’t pass sign-off. We treat pressure and certification as documented specs, not claims. Every composite pipe is manufactured to a PN pressure class, PN20 or PN25, with PN25 carrying more margin for hotter circuits, from 100% high-standard raw material. The system carries the certifications importers and inspectors ask for, and SKZ oversight covers both the product and the production line behind it.

FAQ

Underfloor Heating & Solar Piping, Questions

Which PPR pipe should I use for underfloor heating?

For the Integrator: Use a composite PPR pipe, not plain PPR. Fiberglass (PPR-FG) or aluminum-composite (PPR-AL-PPR) cut thermal expansion so hot loops don’t sag or stress joints. Both come in PN20 and PN25, 20–63mm. Aluminum-composite also adds an oxygen barrier for closed heating loops.

Do you supply the manifolds and valves as a matched set?

For the Project Buyer: Yes. Underfloor-heating manifolds (2–5 way, BK-206–219), radiator valves (straight/elbow, BK-257–276) and solar-and-radiator sets (BK-281–282) are matched to the same PPR system, same material family, brass inserts, one supplier. You size the manifold to your loop count; exact configurations are on request.

What temperature and pressure can the solar heating pipe handle?

For the Contractor: Composite PPR is rated for continuous hot-water service, classed as PN20 or PN25, PN25 gives more margin on hotter circuits. As a reference, PN20 ≈ 20 bar and PN25 ≈ 25 bar at 20°C. Exact temperature/pressure limits per size are in the datasheet; request the spec sheet with your operating conditions and we’ll confirm the right class.

What manifold configurations and sizes do you offer?

For the Integrator: Underfloor-heating manifolds come in 2-way, 3-way, 4-way and 5-way outlets on 32mm and 40mm bodies with 1/2″ female connections (BK-206–213), plus a female-threaded version (BK-214–219). Size the manifold to the loops on each floor; larger or custom loop counts are available on request.

Fiberglass or aluminum-composite, which should I pick?

For the Contractor: Both cut expansion. Choose fiberglass (PPR-FG) for radiator and underfloor heating where all-plastic, easy heat fusion matters. Choose aluminum-composite (PPR-AL-PPR) for closed loops and solar, where the oxygen barrier and the lowest expansion count. Both are PN20/PN25, 20–63mm; see the dimensions table above.

Is the heating range certified for clean water and export?

For the Importer: Yes, SKZ (Germany), ISO TYPE-5, CE and WRAS. WRAS supports potable-water safety; CE/SKZ help customs clearance and project sign-off across the 118+ countries we export to. Certificate numbers are available on request.

Can you private-label the heating system and give us exclusivity?

For the OEM Brand: Yes, OEM is fully supported (your colors, logo, packaging) and regional exclusivity is available. With 10,000 molds and a 120,000 m² plant we back your brand with consistent quality. MOQ, lead time and pricing are available on request.
